02 Oct

UNREAL™ Brands announces a manifesto video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YOOeNvls7qc&feature=plcp) campaign as part of their mission to Unjunk™ the World.

Featuring an impressive roster of celebrity ambassadors including Gisele Bundchen, Jack Dorsey, John Legend, MattDamon and Tom Brady, UNREAL will present “Get UNREAL™ - Candy Unjunked™” on Wednesday, September 26, 2012.  Created by esteemed filmmaker Casey Neistat, of HBO’s television show The Neistat Brothers, the video demonstrates firsthand how this unique brand has achieved the seemingly impossible: unjunked candy.

Produced this month, “Get UNREAL™ – Candy Unjunked” takes viewers to Brazil, Ecuador, Mexico, and many locations in the United States as it brings to life UNREAL’s journey to reinvent candy.  Alongside Adam Melonas, UNREAL Candy Chef, the audience witnesses everything from the actual blue agave plant that sweetens UNREAL products and the palm fruit that produces the oil, to harvesting the cocoa plant and packaging the final product.  The video even features a live tasting with several of candy’s most discerning customers – kids.

“Unjunking candy is just the first step in our mission to Unjunk the World™,” said Michael Bronner, founder of UNREAL™ Brands.  “Our goal is to educate people on the benefits of removing junk from products, and to provide great-tasting alternatives. With this video, we are thrilled to give consumers an inside look at UNREAL.”

After two years and thousands of recipes, UNREAL™ launched this summer in over 18,000 stores nationwide with five candies that retail for a comparable price yet do not contain corn syrup, hydrogenated oil, artificial flavors, GMO’s or synthetic colors.  In fact, UNREAL™ candies are made with only the best ingredients.  The dairy comes from pasture raised cows in New Zealand and California without antibiotics or added hormones.  The organic palm kernel oil from a sustainable and organic plantation in Brazil.  Traceable cacao beans from farms in Ghana and Ecuador.  Natural colors instead of synthetic dyes, like red from beets and blue from purple cabbage.

“UNREAL has done it with candy.  And if they can do it with candy, we can do it with anything,” comments Dr. Mark Hyman,Chairman of the Institute for Functional Medicine, four-time New York Times bestselling author, and internationally recognized leader in his field.

UNREAL products are now available in 18,000 stores nationwide, including CVS, Walgreens and Kroger, and will be available in more than 30,000 retailers by mid Fall, with suggested retail prices ranging from $.89 to $1.29 for individual bars and $4.99 for the family sized bags.
