World traveler and food enthusiast, Eden Grinshpan, takes viewers on a weekly culinary adventure through the most unexpected U.S. cities serving up authentic global cuisine in Eden Eats, premiering Friday, August 17th at 10pm ET/7pm PT on Cooking Channel.

Over the course of eight episodes, Eden visits a different city each week to discover original recipes and the incredible stories behind them. She meets the immigrants and locals who make up the backbone of every city and who reconnect with their culture and traditions through food. Whether she's at a Kenyan restaurant for lunch in Baltimore or enjoying a traditional Burmese meal in Honolulu, Eden brings her passion for people and adventure everywhere she goes.

"Eden is a passionate food adventurer who will transport viewers along with her, " said Bob Tuschman, General Manager and Senior Vice President Programming, Food Network and Cooking Channel. "The great secret she reveals is that you don't need to leave your city to explore the wide range of cultures and cuisines the world has to offer." In the season premiere, Eden travels to Nashville, TN, a city known for its multicultural music scene, and ignites her taste buds with flavors from around the globe.

She kicks off her tour with lunch at International Market, one of Nashville's first ethnic restaurants, where she learns how to make a traditional Thai salad with red snapper and over 20 other ingredients. After lunch its snack time at a Somali restaurant as Eden shares a light meal and stories with the owner, a refugee from Kenya. She continues her tour with some Bosnian cuisine while making a traditional stuffed onion dish for dinner at Café Bosna. With a full night ahead of her, Eden stops for a late night drink, a snack, and some dancing at an Irish pub, followed by an early morning baking session at a Kurdish Halal market.

To finish her whirlwind tour, Eden visits a Ghanaian market for a one-of-a-kind African experience. Future episodes feature Eden's visits to Phoenix, AZ where she tries everything from Polish pirogues to Lebanese kabobs; San Diego for a Loatian New Year's celebration, dinner at a Norwegian Supper Club; and Tampa, FL where Eden samples Brazilian, German and Greek cuisine and even tries her hand at Cuban cigar rolling. Eden Grinshpan graduated from Le Cordon Bleu in London with the "Grande Diplome" in both Pastry and Cuisine. After graduating she went to India to volunteer with different organizations, one of them being an orphanage called Ramanas Garden.

Here she came up with the idea of raising money for the orphanage by re-opening a café, which had not been in operation for some time, and teaching the children the basics of culinary cuisine. After returning to New York City, Eden enrolled in a management program at The Institute of Culinary Education before working at the bakery, Babycakes. Eden is the co-owner of EthNicitY Productions. Eden Eats is produced by Noise Productions Inc.
